New Life Worship Center - Tyler, Texas

To address the needs of a newly formed, growing congregation, New Life Worship Center wanted to develop a building program identifying the church's present and long-term needs in terms of a building site, physical building requirements, project costs, ministry goals and community identity.

The site was chosen after a site analysis determined constructability, master plan expansion, infrastructure requirements and location desirability. Other factors of site selection were community demographics, population growth areas, visibility and image opportunities, and community accessibility.

After the site was secured, New Life Worship Center and the design/build team turned their attention to building design. Although the design parameters were established during the programming phase, the characteristics of the selected site had to be interfaced into the design requirements.

This site offered great potential in terms of visibility, presentation, and image. The building design must work with the site to realize the full potential of the entire project. The project was designed and planned not only to address the building program requirements but also to incorporate site assets including elevated terrain, a live creek, existing mature vegetation, and visual accessibility from major thoroughfares.

The church building includes contemporary design elements reflective of New Life Worship Center's services and ministries. With seating for 1,000 and room for expansion, the facility incorporates a fellowship hall, an education space, a children's church, youth area, kitchen, and administrative area.
